Insomnia

Sleep difficulties are extremely common.  Recent research shows cognitive-behavioral treatment of insomnia to be superior to medications.  If you are not engaging in regular exercise, strongly reconsider.  As is pointed out on my
Depression  page, exercise can greatly improve one's mood and anxiety.  A good "physical" tired can be very helpful.

Difficulties getting to sleep frequently occur when an individual is unable to turn off" their thoughts, especially when stressed.  Relaxation exercises can be very helpful.  A number of sleep recordings are available.  A favorite of mine is Belleruth Naparstek
